Glasto Tickets Still On Sale
Around 3,000 tickets remain for this weekend’s Glastonbury Festival, as for the first time in fifteen years the event is failing to sell out in advance.
Despite much controversy surrounding this year’s line up, which features Jay-Z headlining, festival organiser Michael Eavis feels the poor ticket sales are down to recent year’s muddy conditions.
He told the BBC: “There's a lot at stake. We really do need a good year this year, that's for sure. There were about 3,000 left this morning, but they are going out slowly. We did about 800 yesterday so we'll just about scrape home without losing my shirt."
A total of 137,500 tickets went on sale in April, however the same allocation sold out in under two hours last year,
As well as Jay-Z, this year’s headliners include Kings Of Leon and The Verve.
