Glastonbury 2009 Ticket Price Announced
Michael Eavis has announced how much you'll need to pay - and what you'll have to do - to be in with a chance of hanging out at Worthy Farm next June...
More details have been revealed about how to buy tickets for next year's Glastonbury. If you want to go to the festival in 2009 you can buy a ticket - or reserve one for £50 - from 9am on the 5th of October.
Registration opens on September 1 at www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk- next Monday - but if you've registered before for Glasto, you don't have to do it again. Tickets have been price at £175, with a limit of 6 tickets per person.
”We have come up with a scheme that will allow people a much longer period to plan and pay for their tickets, while still continuing the battle against ticket touting," says Michael Eavis. “By paying as little as £50 up front this year, festival-goers from all over the world will be able to guarantee a ticket for next year’s event. At the same time the very successful registration scheme will ensure that tickets will only go to those named individuals who have reserved them in advance.”
If you don't cough up the whole £175 next month, you've got until 1 February 2009 to pay the balance. Next year's festival takes place between 24 and 28 June 2009.
