Stabbing Mars T In The Park 2008
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 22-year-old man was stabbed 11 times in the early hours of yesterday (July 13) at this weekend's T In The Park festival. The police have stated that good forensic evidence has been found at the scene.
Speaking to the BBC, Det Ch Insp Bruce Kerr said: "He was an innocent victim. He went to intervene with the two males who were accosting one of his female friends and they just set about him and he was stabbed 11 times, eight to the body and three to the head."
Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward after releasing descriptions of the two attackers.
The first has been described white, in his late teens, about 6ft 1in tall, of skinny build, with short, dark brown hair and wearing a white track suit top.
The second is also white, 5ft 8in and of medium build, with a dark brown mullet haircut. He was wearing a red tracksuit top.
The attack's victim is in a serious but stable condition.
