Don't Feed Oscar The Vortex Jazz Club, London
Up and coming electro-indie night, Don’t Feed Oscar, is back in town just in time to kick start your festive frolics. Being held across the Ochreworks & The Vortex in Dalston on December 5th, DFO brings you a cracking line up of three of the hottest bands on the scene as well as three class DJs. The good times will be rolling downstairs from 19:30, with KBS DJs & SKILLSY laying down a deliciously eclectic mix of electro-indie tracks, from Justice to Chromeo, The Presets to LCD Soundsystem & MIA to Blondie. Live music will be getting lively upstairs from 20:30, with London’s electronica foursome My Toys Like Me leading the way. Receiving comparisons to CSS with more depth, these guys, with their “twisted, bopping acid jaunts” are guaranteed to set the pace. Kids Love Lies – “That’s not bad that” Noel Gallagher, will then take to the stage with their “fast-rising...rat-atat-tat rhythms & persuasive vocals” before headlining act, electro-punk boys, Trash Fashion round things up. Trash Fashion have been causing a real stir on the scene with their uncompromising beats and infections pop-rock - coming off the back of their debut album tour – they are definitely ones to watch. DJs Simon Says and Tom Thumb (Peace In The City, The Good Ship, Paradise) will continue the party upstairs with an electro-indie disco until 2am. See you on the dance floor kids...
