New Year's Eve 'Rock the Hall' Concert: Supergrass + The Pigeon Detectives + Fighting With Wire + General Fiasco + Universal Remedy Belfast City Hall
Headliners Supergrass and The Pigeon Detectives will be joined on stage by three of Northern Ireland's hottest young bands. Supergrass: The band, who stormed the Britpop music scene over a decade ago, were back earlier this year with their album ‘Diamond Hoo Ha' following arena tours with Arctic Monkeys and Coldplay. The Pigeon Detectives: The band have have been building up a steady fan base thanks to appearances on the festival circuit and being championed by the likes of DJs Steve Lamacq and Jo Whiley from Radio 1. Fighting With Wire: Hitting the local music scene in 2003, local band Fighting With Wire have played shows with the likes of Biffy Clyro, Million Dead and Future Of The Left and are building a reputation as a must-see live band. General Fiasco: Local talent, General Fiasco, formed in 2007 and got their first gig at ‘Glasgowbury'. Universal Remedy: Universal Remedy are a four piece power pop meets rock act from Lisburn. Formed in 2004, the band have been touring local venues and steadily building up a fan base across Northern Ireland and beyond. The event will be compered by local TV and radio presenter, Ralph McLean.
