Legendary indie band James formed in Manchester in 1981. Despite gaining underground attention and critical acclaim through the 1980s, James found mainstream success on the back on the 'Madchester' movement of the early 90s. Their re-recorded version of earlier song 'Sit Down' was a hit, and reached the number 2 spot in the UK charts. The band went on to play massive sell-out shows and release high-charting records before disbanding in 2001. James announced their reformation in 2007 and have continued to prove a hit with nostalgic audiences nationwide.
